Lmao
I'm rewatching Darling in The Franxx and I want to write about Nene and Tsukasa but in the shoes of Kokoro and Mitsuru
I dunno what's happening with me...

Can @neil-gaiman make a young author like me feel better about typos on my already published back cover…
👉🏻👈🏻😖💛
The book itself only has 8 mistakes apparently in 326 pages…
P.S. thanks for writing Good Omens because without it I’d have never met my Fiancé! The Crowley to my Aziraphale…Congrats on season 3!!
Edit because only two people have bought my book

It’s really not that hard to understand how Destiel is canon despite not having Dean verbally textually concretely saying “I love you” back, which is what most people who only consume media on a surface level understand.
You have a jigsaw puzzle. Let’s say there’s 327 pieces. One by one you put it together with some bright spots where you get a bunch of them in a row and some more complicated spots where it took you longer than you wanted and the picture made it difficult to match up the pieces.
After awhile, you get 326 of them in, even tho your dog almost ate the 326th piece and it’s a little chewed up but whatever. It’s passable.
But, you realize you can’t find that 327th piece. It’s somewhere — it’s gotta be somewhere. You can see the hole where it belongs. You see it’s shape in it’s empty space, you see how many curves it has and how many sticky-out bits it has to connect perfectly with the rest of the puzzle.
However that final piece is still missing.
You look up and down, come up with theories about where it could possibly be (did the dog eat it? Did the manufacturers just screw up and there was a glitch in processing? Was it your own fault you lost it and it’s somewhere super obvious?).
But despite you being unable to find it, you’ve stared at that empty space for so long it’s almost like it is already filled because the shape is so clearly outlined. It’s the final piece and even if it’s not there, the rest of the picture is, and, the empty space is so well defined that there is no QUESTION that’s where the missing piece should go.
So Destiel is canon because the rest of the puzzle was filled in through years and years of subtext, text, basic narrative structure, romantic tropes, queer coding, etc etc.
The one piece that’s still missing is Dean saying three words but you don’t know where that piece is, aka, we don’t know why he wasn’t allowed to say it back. But we know that’s what has to be said. There won’t be a refusal of reciprocation because if that was the case we would have gotten it when the show was airing because there’s no harm from executives perspectives in denying queer feelings. They’d probably prefer it.
Dean’s missing words is the one single puzzle piece that’s missing right now. And we are all still searching for it but that doesn’t mean that it’s clearly defined space isn’t already there outlining exactly what could only fit right. There.

It's official, I know what charms are coming with me to Anime North, so here's the run down! I'm at Table 326 all three days, and here's the map to find me too. If you're not coming to Anime North I'll also be putting everything left in stock up on my online shop for June, so hang tight and be ready to buy in case stock gets low! I have some new stuff debuting, like the Dungeon Meshi, two of the Rain Code charms, Vash (who I still need to post here oops), and Peeps/Pii-chan! I also have pretty much everything else I usually have though some of the full V3 Mosaic set is low quantities so if you have your eye on someone be quick! Reminder that Patrons can reserve merch and buy from me even when my shop is closed! I'll be updating my prints catalogue too online, with the most recent two mosaics being newly printed and some fun one-size art of the Dungeon Meshi stuff.

Hi :) Ever since I was a kid, I've loved swings and hammocks. I don't think I'll ever outgrow them, lol. In honor of my favorite season - autumn - and my inner child, here's a forest hammock set with fall color schemes.❤
You can get it for free on CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/sims4/build-buy/forest-hammock-set
Or directly from my Patreon post: https://www.patreon.com/posts/forest-hammock-113256159
The set includes 5 items:
Hammock (functions as a loveseat) | 16 swatches | Poly Count: 1176
Trunk table (can also function as support for the hammock) | 6 swatches | Poly count: 326
Camping mug | 8 swatches| Poly count: 724
Thermos | 8 swatches | Poly count: 446
Plate with forest fruits | 6 swatches | Poly count: 302
Everything is Base Game compatible.
❤ Use the bb.moveobjects code for placing the hammock. Sims can sit, nap, read, eat, converse, make out, and basically do everything on it that they can do on a loveseat sofa. You can use a tree as support or the trunk table from this set, as seen in the pictures below.
❤ Please don't modify, reupload, sell or claim my meshes as your own.
❤ If you'd like to support me, you can get EARLY ACCESS of my CC on Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/YannaSims4CC
Thank you :)

I really don't like how the description of the promo image of the full Dark Beginnings has to specify that they're reaching for one another "like long lost siblings".
What is the difference between reaching for one another platonically and romantically? What makes that drawing different from the nearly identical scene of Sonic and Blaze in Rush, used as Sonaze fodder since the game came out? How is a blind person, the target audience, supposed to imagine the difference? And why does it matter?
It breaks the flow of the description and it feels... cowardly. Whoever wrote that description likely knows that a growing portion of the fanbase, especially on Twitter, thinks shipping Shadria is immoral, so they put their hands forward and shouted "THEY'RE SIBLINGS YOUR HONOR" to appease them.
Yes, I know the manuals have described their bond as sibling-like since the beginning, or at least ShTH. But was there any need to specify it here? Especially when Dark Beginnings itself just added more Shadria fuel (yeah it's very sibling-y to caress your brother's chest hair lol)?
I am not invested in Shadria but I don't understand the hate for it. It's cute. Shadow and Maria care for each other and are important to each other. There is no need to pigeon-hole their bond in a convenient label. There is no need to give an arm to the uptight fans who wrap their ship war (because let's face it, I'm sure many of those anti-Shadria people ship Sonadow lmao) in a morality question.
That piece has some real "Chihiro and Kohaku falling out the sky" energy going on tbh. Very kawaii and kakwáhyę. <3
Managed to find a few based tweets amidst the sea of Shadria antis popping champagne bottles, lol:

Based and Maekawa-pilled.
I do find it a tad sus how hard people cling to the ShTH manual as "proof" of pair's sibling relationship when the game proper never has Shadow or Maria describe it as such. The omission becomes even more salient when you recall that the Commander described Maria as being "like a sister" to him and "the only familly" he knew. Why does a Donut Steel nobody gives a shit about use those words, but not Shadow?
You mean to tell me in all 326 routes of Shadow The Hedgehog, Shadow does not take a single opportunity to say "I miss my sister Maria"? Wow, it's almost like ST left their dynamic open to interpretation for a reason. :v
Besides, what's good for the goose is good for the gander. If the ShTH manual is watertight proof that shipping Shadria is incest, then I reserve the right to say that Sonic was forced into a date with Amy under duress in Unleashed because Black Knight's manual describes him as awaiting a "stressful encounter."
---
(yeah it's very sibling-y to caress your brother's chest hair lol)?
...I don't think the antis realize that just makes it even hotter. what are you doing, step sis
Yeah, Maria has some... brow-raisingly romance anime-coded behaviors in these shorts. She's, uh... notably touchy-feely with Shadow.
Also, one last grenade to lob into the water, because fuck it, we're waking up and choosing violence today lmao:

Note
Have you seen CharlieAndLuke's "We Explained All 326 Story Paths In Shadow The Hedgehog" video? I just finished it and I think it may interest you, some explanations are just about the paths' names, but most are about the narrative/Shadow's motivations in the explained route.
youtube
This was definitely a daunting project! Both for the sheer number of path and for trying to make sense of them. Which is, incidentally, exactly how I play the game! Like, for example, interpreting paths 5 and 6 as Shadow having a code of honor because he refused to bomb Central City deeming it cowardly. That's clever!

Eusebius told one story. The Theodosian Code tells another. Read it carefully and another world appears before your eyes. Not the jubilant world of Eusebius, but an oppressive world in which first this liberty and then that one are slowly pared away. There may, initially, have been ‘decrees full of humanity’ and laws that gave evidence of ‘true piety’ in this newly Christianizing world. But within fifty years the legal mood of Rome can be seen, clearly, to have darkened. And among those for whom this period would become the darkest were the so-called heretics.
At first, as with that law of AD 326, the signs that anything was changing were few; a nudge here; a confiscation there. And then suddenly, in August AD 379, after just a little over fifty years of Christian rule, the tone changes. ‘All heresies’, states a law, ‘are forbidden by both divine and imperial laws and shall forever cease.’
Soon, heretics were forbidden from building churches, forbidden from making wills and were ‘to be afflicted with the supreme penalty and with inexpiable punishment.’ Fines were levied – small sums to begin with, but then they started to get higher. Heretics were to be fined twenty pounds of gold – thirty, forty, fifty – staggering sums. Violence started to appear in the laws. Those who enabled heretical meetings to take place on private land would, as one law of AD 405 explained, ‘be flogged with leaden whips’ then exiled. Those who let heretical clerics preach on their land would lose their land and have to pay ten pounds of gold. If such a person failed to come up with the money, then ‘he shall be beaten with clubs and condemned to deportation.’
The rulings go on: there should be ‘frequent floggings’ to recall people from their errors; one heretic was to be ‘arrested and beaten with leaden whips’; while if anyone should ‘seduce’ a freeborn person or slave into any ‘impious sect or ritual, he shall suffer capital punishment.’ Then the law hardened further: from now on, heretics were to be actively hunted out. This new Christian regime encouraged people to spy on their neighbours, report them, denounce them: ‘Your Sublimity, therefore, shall appoint investigators, shall open court, and shall receive informers and denouncers.’ The most loathed heretics ‘shall be driven from all the hiding places of this City . . . [their] hiding places shall be spied out with a diligent search.’ Those ‘insane’ heretics who still dared to worship ‘shall pay the severest penalty both to God and to the laws’.
Not merely the heretics but even their books became liable to punishment. ‘We command that the books containing the doctrine and matter of all their crimes’, ordered one law of 398, ‘shall immediately be sought out and produced, with the greatest astuteness and with the exercise of due authority, and they shall be consumed with fire immediately under the supervision of the judges.’ More frightening still, ‘any person should be convicted of having hidden any of these books . . . shall suffer capital punishment, as a retainer of noxious books and writings and as guilty of the crime of magic.’

The Leonis Siblings
when you make two more ocs in the process of reviving one >.> Meet Seren, remeet Coredin, and Eliana! aka I had a blorbo I wanted to bring back, I had the desire for a new blorbo + a name, and I was encouraged to smash it all together and made a disaster family xD
blorbo blurbs under the cut
SEREN LEONIS is the eldest, and perhaps the most prideful. Just old enough to remember his parents' growing concern when Coredin was born - just old enough to remember something of their life before they settled in on debts owed to smugglers and slavers operating off of Ryloth. Took upon himself a responsibility for improving the family's fortunes and frankly still hasn't stopped resenting Cor for "getting them into this whole mess."
Seren practically leapt at the chance to join the Republic military as a way to get out of their parents' shadowed series of misfortunes, and as a route to get Eliana separated from Cor's influence.
Righteous and prideful with the belief that he knows best how to truly look out for Eli, and certain he's the only one with the right mind to make it happen. When Cor and him parted at the port on Ryloth, he threatened he might just put a fist or a plasma bolt through the man if he ever saw his brother again.
Some of that hard work must've finally paid off, because Seren was able to entrust Eli with the Jedi - as good an offer as he could hope to find her - and accept his own offer to join Republic Special Forces Squad 326, code name HAVOC SQUAD.
COR is the black sheep, if you take his brother's word for it. In a sense, Seren's right about a few things - COREDIN LEONIS put his family on the run with his birth, with a suspicion that the boy might be Force-sensitive - enough to attract the kind of attention that would put the family in the path of the war. Cor and Seren grew up in service to the smugglers and slavers their parents had fallen in with in efforts to keep the children hidden, and were raised on the ways of how to handle a blaster and survive fights with the rough crowds.
He didn't ask for any of this - for the Force, for the scathing rebuttal of his brother, and he certainly never meant to potentially attract the attention of the Sith when a cave exploration with his younger sister ran them into a small group of Imperial troops headed by a curious Sith and ended with a collapsed tunnel. But Cor wasn't the dealer at the table when those cards were handed out, and Lady Luck seemed rather absent on the day, too, apparently.
Concerned Imperial deaths would draw the wrong kind of attention from their overseers and otherwise, one of the few things Cor and Seren had ever agreed on was the goal to get Eliana off of Ryloth before she, too, became a bargaining chip in the family's debts. Scraping together their savings, the last Cor ever saw of them was Eliana on a shuttle to Coruscant with an offer from some Jedi he'd never met, and Seren blocking his way on the dock with a grinding jaw and a warning. Cor took off with one of the passably (from what they could tell) decent smugglers leaving the planet the same day.
Half-convinced of a curse of ill-fortune, Cor kept his alliances short, when he needed them. He certainly needed no further opportunity to bring misfortune upon another head. Until an old gunslinger named Braden found him as he attempted to pick his way across the galaxy, and convinced him he was a fair shot enough to do something with it. Setting personal reservations of fortune aside for the enthusiasm of a man that very well may have saved his skin, Coredin has shaped into a young bounty hunter, and Braden has set his eyes upon the Mandalorian's GREAT HUNT... And Cor's ongoing hope to put the shadows of Ryloth and broken family behind him, and keep them there.
ELIANA LEONIS was something of a darling child - a break of sunshine after a struggle to attempt to safely raise two boys away from the great powers of war in the galaxy. Her elder brothers' acquiescence to work with the family's debts spared her getting pulled into the mired underworld trades as quickly as they had, and both attempted to carve what little precious time they could from their demanding schedules to offer her a semblance of a normal child's play.
Still, there was a tension between the boys she couldn't quite place in her youth - only comment that if they stared at each other that harshly much longer, they might well carve new mines into the rock with their nonsense. In youth, she dodged between the cargo crates and hurried legs of spacers looking for stories of the galaxy beyond the split horizon. ELI was going to be an explorer. Everyone on that rock seemed to be looking for something, and she'd be damned if she'd get left behind in the process of finding it.
One day, her adventures with Cor into the tunnels came across a peculiar grouping she'd never met before. A number of them seemed explorers - carrying a number of measuring and surveying devices - and one of them carried a red blade. They would prise secrets from the rock, this hooded figure declared. And they were in need of new servants to guide them in this place.
Blaster rifles and pistols were not new sights on Ryloth. From behind Cor's arm, those of the dark uniforms fanned out. Coredin seemed as stiff as the desert rock. They already had obligations, he said, and they should go. The very rock itself seemed to tremble when such suggestion was met with a laugh. And then darkness claimed the lights that had illuminated these would-be seekers and their equipment. The rock closed in, Cor yelled for her to run. Their hands reached together for the tunnel ceilings and, though the rock left its mark upon them both, they staggered back to Seren.
He'd been irate for hours. Cor's hands were still trembling that night. They would leave within a few days.
Seren had accepted an offer to join the Republic military, said he could take her with him to see the horizons beyond. Cor was leaving, too, but for which horizon, they would not say. He wasn't there when one with a new blade had come forward with interest and offered Seren some way to look after her. The Jedi, so they said.
She learned of a world of history, of old power. Something like that which had stopped the rocks from caving in too far on Ryloth. On TYTHON, she would think of Coredin and a connection so fleeting there were times she thought she imagined it. But nearly the same she would feel as her training continued. Seren wrote to her as often as he could, busy with training and deployments he said, and then finally a new promotion, sent with pride and joy and congratulations for her own as the Jedi sent her forward to a new master. Here, the Jedi would teach her the way of secrets and knowledge, of horizons more plentiful than she had imagined. Here, she would become JEDI.., and perhaps, someday, she'd find the same horizon as her brother.

Flying W - Wonder Woman.
Tumblr media
The Winnebago RV used is from 1972 - The logo is called "Flying W" (and in 1986 the Winnebago RV industry established the Flying W program in to recognize select dealers for service excellence and superior customer satisfaction.)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I don't know about you but the version of this one in particular reminds me a bit of ...
Tumblr media
They even shot her standing there with this logo in her back. And it's a "Flying W" like "If you want to stop One you will need to fly" again making a connection between One and Max or better: Max is One. One of the good Ones since there are only three Ones in the show: 00I and 0II.
Theres no doubt a strong connection towards Wonder Woman been made in the show.
Tumblr media
That's issue 326 > 3+2+6=11.
Tumblr media
The first issue of The Legend of Wonder Woman (the comic Lucas is reading to Max in the script if I recall correctly) was released in May 1986. Weird, did they want to push Will's birthday to May (Birthday gate) allegedly because it better fits the lip movement? - I doubt that this is an oversight and they didn't use it because it was released much later but another clue left in the script that March and May are interchangeable and there are potential timeline shenanigans in the show.
And since the Duffers like Upside-downs/inversions, just have some fun and invert Max's initials ... Or just the Wonder Woman logo.
Tumblr media
And note that Mike offers El some M&Ms (because he didn't get his break...I mean KitKat) while Max is right there in the background. So MM=Max Mayfield. And certain fonts especially in the Wonder Woman logo once inverted give us different initials.
I guess reflections/Upside-downs/inversions/mirrors are all just a coincidence. There's nothing like this in the show at all. There's nothing to see here, folks! Or is there? That mirror shots are btw like a Stranger Things version of the Sherlock mirror.
Tumblr media
If Henry's shadow is Vecna(Edward?), then Max's mirror is...El. The walkie talkie isn't very subtle. Seriously, I wouldn't do/talk about this if there weren't inversions and mirrors etc in show and it's not even very subtle. Many parallels people talk about are actually mirrors. (Even literal mirrors like the one 00I gets thrown through which then switches the alignment of the shards to give us a mirror of him and the "Zoomer"-El that fights back.) It was the first thing that I noticed and that's what started this.
Oh, and shall we guess who's in room 110? (Just saw it, so take it with a grain of salt but this looks like Maya behind the window.)
Mirrors: 011/110
Tumblr media
So, MM=WW because as pointed out in the comic reading scene Wonder Woman has another name, alias or "alter ego": Princess Diana. Like Peter Parker is Spider-Man. Clark Kent is Superman etc etc
All you need is simple math. 5'6 / 5 6 =??
Tumblr media
Nah, just imagining things.
................................................................................
I do have an idea what the blue hair tie and yellow watch do resemble and mean as an allegory that totally fits the narrative. And yes, it's Wonder Woman linked too.
Had a post some time ago about the Lasso of Truth - and remember the poster for "Dear Billy"? It says "No more lies".
That Unbreakable is an inspo is obvious (and official) and David Dunn's weakness is water. (You know the whole rabies/fear of water thing which I likely will address in another post.) Nonetheless, the superhero coding is there.

2024-03-29: dhewm3 1.5.3
"Just in time for the Easter weekend, dhewm3 1.5.3 is done!
This brings (the often-requested) support for gamepads, as long as they’re supported by SDL2. This includes XBox Controllers (and compatible ones), Playstation 3-5 controllers, Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers, many thirdparty controllers for those consoles, and lots of other gamepads for PC. See the Configuration documentation for how to make make it work (well, basically you can just plug in your gamepad and configure bindings in the Controls menu, but I also provide configs with default bindings that you could use). Furthermore, dhewm3 now supports taking screenshots in different formats: TGA (like before), BMP, JPEG and PNG. Last but not least, there were several bugfixes and other small improvements, see the list below for details.
You can download dhewm3 1.5.3 at Github (incl. builds for Windows and 64bit Linux for both dhewm3 and the supported mods).
Changes since 1.5.2:
Support for gamepads (based on code from Quadrilateral Cowboy, but heavily expanded). See Configuration.md for more information.
Support different file formats for screenshots by setting the r_screenshotFormat CVar (0 = TGA, still the default, 1 = BMP, 2 = PNG, 3 = JPG). r_screenshotJpgQuality and r_screenshotPngCompression allow configuring how JPG/PNG are compressed. Thanks eezstreet (Nick Whitlock)!
Fixed problems with lights after loading a savegame (#495)
Fix volume of some weapon sounds, like chaingun being too quit (#326)
Increase stack size on Windows to 8MB (instead default of 1MB) to make loading huge models work
Fixed crash in Radiant Model Preview Dialog (#496)
Fix MD3 model support
Several new CMake options:
To enable Clang/GCC Address Sanitizer and Undefined Behavior Sanitizer
Hardlink the game code into the executable (instead of using game DLLs, only supports base or d3xp then; needed for Undefined Behavior Sanitizer)
Force colored diagnostic output from GCC or Clang (esp. useful when building with ninja)
Fix several compiler warnings
Added build instructions for Linux (and similar systems) to README.md
Added documentation for dhewm3-specific settings (mostly CVars): Configuration.md
Updated stb_image and stb_vorbis
Updated minizip (from zlib/contrib) to latest upstream code
Added in_namePressed CVar to print currently pressed key/button (useful for binding keys in the console or configs). Thanks Biel Bestué de Luna!
Probably more bugfixes I forgot to list here..
Updated bundled libs in build for Windows: OpenAL Soft 1.23.1, SDL 2.30.0, cURL 8.6.0, zlib 1.3.1
Linux binary build now requires SDL 2.0.12 or newer (I provide an updated libSDL2-2.0.so.0 though). If you compile dhewm3 yourself, older SDL2 versions (and SDL1.2) are still supported (however, SDL1.2 doesn’t support gamepads)"
